About ROID
Fitness fails when it's lonely.
ROID is the AI fitness social network — free personalized training, health tracking, and nutrition logging, built around the one thing that actually keeps people consistent: each other.
The Story
ROID started at the University of California, Irvine, where founder Alen Yaco kept watching the same pattern: people don't quit fitness because they lack information — they quit because they train alone, and because every app that could help locks its best features behind a subscription.
The thesis became the product. Just as LinkedIn is for business and Instagram is for creativity, ROID is for fitness: a social network where your training is the content, an AI coach that learns from your workouts, meals, and Apple Health data — cross-referenced with peer-reviewed research from the National Institutes of Health — and a creator marketplace where coaches earn from the programs they publish.
That marketplace is also why ROID is free to use. Creators sell their training programs and ROID takes a platform share, so the core app — health tracking, the social feed, programs, plus AI coaching and nutrition logging on free credits that renew monthly — never has to charge you. No locked features, and unlimited AI is earnable free by inviting friends. We don't sell personal data.
Today ROID partners with university athletics programs and professional coaches — from UC Riverside Track & Field to Golden Boy Boxing's Johnny Canas — and is growing campus by campus, community first.

What We Believe
Free means free
Every core feature ships to every user. The business model is the creator marketplace, not your subscription.
Evidence over hype
AI guidance is cross-referenced with peer-reviewed NIH research — personalized and grounded, not generated folklore.
Community is the feature
Consistency comes from being seen. The feed, messaging, and accountability loops are the product, not decoration.
