Payment & Subscription Terms
← Back to HomeLast Updated: July 21, 2026
These Payment & Subscription Terms are part of the ROID Terms of Service and govern all paid features of the Platform. Prices are shown at the point of purchase; where an amount below differs from what you see at checkout, the checkout price controls.
1. Where Billing Happens
- In the iOS app: purchases are in-app purchases billed by Apple through your App Store account. Apple is the merchant of record; we never see or store your card details.
- On roid.app: purchases (including ROID AI web subscriptions and creator training programs) are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we store only subscription status and transaction records.
2. ROID MAX (ROID AI Unlimited)
- ROID MAX is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) that unlocks unlimited AI usage and premium features shown on the paywall at the time of purchase
- Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase; the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Manage or cancel anytime in iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions (or App Store → your profile → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription
- If a free trial or introductory offer is available, its length and price are shown before purchase; unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase, and trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for Apple-billed purchases
- If a subscription is refunded, revoked, or expires, associated premium entitlements end
3. ROID AI on the Web
- ROID AI on roid.app offers a limited number of free AI interactions, after which continued use requires a subscription
- Web subscriptions are billed by Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected) and renew automatically until cancelled
- Cancel anytime via the manage-subscription link in your account or by emailing hello@roid.app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then
- Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable; if you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will review in good faith
4. AI Credits and Referral Rewards
- Free accounts receive AI credits (for example, a signup grant and periodic refills) that are spent on AI interactions such as coach messages and meal photo analysis
- You can earn additional credits through referral tiers — inviting friends who become qualified referrals — up to a tier that grants ongoing free AI use ("free forever"), and through other in-app offers
- Credits and referral rewards are promotional. They have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash, are non-transferable, and cannot be bought or sold
- We may adjust credit costs, grant amounts, tiers, and offer availability prospectively at any time; earned rewards obtained legitimately will be honored
- Referral qualification is determined by us using anti-fraud verification. Self-referrals, duplicate or fake accounts, or manipulation void rewards and may result in credit reversal or account termination
- An active ROID MAX subscription supersedes the credit system while it remains active
5. Creator Training Program Purchases
- Training programs offered by independent creators can be purchased through Stripe checkout; some programs are one-time purchases and others are recurring subscriptions, as shown at checkout
- Access is granted when payment is confirmed; for asynchronous payment methods this may take a short time after checkout
- For subscription programs, billing renews automatically until cancelled; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues through the paid period
- ROID facilitates payment and delivery as a platform; creators are independent sellers responsible for their program content. ROID charges a platform fee on creator sales
- Refund requests: email hello@roid.app. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at checkout, refunds are evaluated case by case; refunded charges reverse the related creator earnings
- Failed renewal payments may result in a past-due state and loss of access until payment succeeds
6. Creator Payouts
- Creator earnings are paid out via Stripe Connect; creators must complete Stripe onboarding (identity, banking, and tax details are collected by Stripe, not by us)
- Payout timing follows Stripe's schedules and may be delayed by verification, disputes, or suspected fraud
- Chargebacks, refunds, and fraud reversals are deducted from creator balances; negative balances may be offset against future earnings
- Creators are responsible for their own taxes on earnings
7. Pricing, Taxes, and Changes
- All prices are shown before you confirm a purchase and may vary by region and billing period
- Prices may include or exclude applicable taxes depending on your jurisdiction; where required, tax is added at checkout or by Apple
- We may change subscription prices with advance notice; for App Store subscriptions, Apple notifies you and, where required, asks you to consent before a higher price applies. If you do not agree with a price change, cancel before the next renewal
- Promotional pricing, trials, and offers may be modified or withdrawn prospectively at any time
8. Failed Payments and Chargebacks
- If a renewal payment fails, we (or Apple/Stripe) may retry the charge; features may be suspended while an account is past due
- Initiating a chargeback on a legitimate charge may result in suspension of paid features while the dispute is investigated; contact us first — most billing issues are resolved quickly
9. Contact
- Billing questions and refund requests: hello@roid.app
